moments of accidental sound

I think if I was a musician I would mostly bash bits of my house up and put some synths or trombones to it. Here are some accidental sound musicians I would like to sound like (accidentally):

Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs often bashes crap she's found in her garden to liberating audio effect.

Mysterious Norwegian music-elf Hanne Hukkelberg has made four albums, all of which employ the use of accidental sonic elements: bells, spoons, tea cups and home made instruments make her music full of fun and totally original. (This is actually not a great example, but I still like it - and she has a new album out, so...).

Defunct nu-rave rockers Late Of The Pier bashed bed slats together to come up with this cracker. Four years on and I'm still mad for it.

I love the way you first think the words and image are completely different.
But, on closer inspection, you can see that the designer has worked into
the photo with the same scribbley quality as the writing. Subtle and awesome.

More Viral Video Wonders

I've just become aware of this awesome website called BALCONY TV. The basic concept is that various up-and-coming and established artists are interviewed and/or perform a song, wait for it ... ON A BALCONY!! and is then posted on the site. This, apparently, can happen on any balcony in any city in any part of the world at any time so you better watch out. And if you hear music drifting through the air (preferably in a downward direction, except if you're on a roof or in a skyscraper) then LOOK UP because BALCONY TV ARE ABOUT!

So here are two amazing artists. One of them I have met at the Roundhouse a while back. Her name is Lail Arad, and here she is in Paris, ON A BALCONY!! The other one is Hanne Hukkelberg, who I haven't met but am still in love with (in a viral sort of way - see what I did there?). Both of them are well cute. Enjoy.
