The Catweazle Club started in Oxford, but now has nights in London, Brighton and New York. It's one of those funny little places you stumble across because a slightly 'arty' friend dragged you there. Your skepticism fades and you leave feeling gently awed by how intimately connected you can feel to a group of strangers crushed together watching an old woman pluck at an autoharp.
I was introduced to it by a wonderful singer/ songwriter called Raevennan Husbandes. Who now also has a blog. And here she is, doing her thing supremely:
