Travel Words Unravel

As I stare down this long road
Darkness grows
And bribes it wide
Tracks cross over
Snacks mull over
Coffee simmers by a cooker’s side
Half-waked tourists wait
Debate
Smiles cinder into yawns
As dark-light fades and dew-light dawns
Coffee in a plastic cup
Rosy marks where flip flops rub
Uneven paving slabs
Span out unravelled
As we wait for the road still untravelled
